This site is about self-promotion, so we have gathered some of the best tools to help you on your way. Listed below are a few examples: (please keep in mind that most all of the services offered here are available elsewhere, and it is offered here as a convenience feature only, not a requirement of hosting your Portfolio!)
 Online Portfolios: We have all seen this, a repair guy walking around on a locaton with the tool pouches hanging off his hips, not always the most attractive when he bends down to pick up the wood for the stairs, but it helps him get through the day. And just like our construction worker can’t wear that tool belt into the local burger place, you can’t always have your portfolio with you at the mall, beach or at a club, this is where we can help. Let us provide you with a ‘place’ to call your own, Your online portfolio!
Business Cards: Imagine you are at a club, it’s hot, loud and dark, your best friend meets a photographer that is working around town on a new fur coat project. She, (being your best friend) introduces you and the three of you chat for a minute over the loud music and then you say, “Why don’t you check out my portfolio, it’s online, and you slip a Greatfolios.com card into his hand directing him to your pix. Three days later, you’re working on his fur shoot! (Our business cards have a special feature that can give you an advantage over your competition! Ask your representative for details).
Composite Cards: The standard for getting work, remember the photographer we mentioned, let’s now say he is connected with an agency in an adjacent town, well you have already modeled for the fur coat project that he was working on but due to property rights, he can’t send the photos to his agent buddy, he drops you an e-mail, and you forward one of your own composites to the agent, and follow up in a week to make sure she received the cards and that her part-time assistant didn’t throw them out with the junk mail. (Remember the “special feature” we mentioned on our business cards. Well, our composites have it too, this feature ensures more traffic to your pages, thus giving you more exposure!)
Head Shots: The fundamental element in getting new work, as basic as composite cards and as important as a telephone. Everyone needs head shots for business cards, letterhead, attention getting portfolio covers, etc. (just like our business cards and composites, our headshots have that extra punch that drives extra visibility to your “space”.
E-mail: Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we’ve added E-mail accounts for our users to stay in contact with every one of their fans. Let’s say that the agency that you were referred to wants to get in touch with you, you’re still out of town working with the photographer you met at the club, you can check your E-mail back at the hotel, and schedule the next shoot with your new agency. (By the way, that special feature works here too, making it easier than ever to stay in touch with all of your contacts.)
Discussion Forums: How cool will it be to be able to log in to a discussion group and  get the skinny on new events, or leave positive feedback on a recent shoot, or to ask questions about a certain photographer, or a model. (At Greatfolios.com, cool is not in short supply, just log in and the goods are yours for the asking!)
Chat Rooms: If you are getting down to brass tacks on a shoot or just want a little less public conversation, we now feature a place to pop-in and chat with others, what a cool feature!
Calendar of Events: You will want to check here often, as we hear of new and exciting things come up, you’ll want to know. Modeling events, equipment sales, open calls, contests, and the like will all be listed here.
Personal Calendar: Web based private calendar allows you to keep track of events that are important to you, deadlines, shows, seminars, open calls, etc.
Online Address Book: “What is that photographers number?” have you asked yourself this? or “The cell phone number of that agent, now where did I put it?” Keep important numbers where you can get at them from anywhere!
Guestbooks: allow visitors to leave comments on your work, a great way to grow your portfolio, and your skills, and relax it is moderated!
